I have worked for Charles Birch for 34 years and represent the third generation of my family to work in the trade. My father and grandfather worked for Forward Leather Company in Birmingham.
When working for Charles Birch in the school holidays I knocked over a key board and was asked to put all of the keys back on the board, from then on I was known as the 'Key Man' and my journey in the trade had started!
Having worked as a warehouseman, then as a sales representative and then Birmingham warehouse manager, I became the Sales Director in 2011. I continue to spend most of my time on the road visiting our friends in the trade either on my own or with my excellent colleagues in the sales team. Alternatively, I can be found in head office working with our creative marketing and management teams.
Vibram components are a specialist subject of mine and I am always pleased to receive enquiries from footwear manufacturers and repairers alike.
